According to the mainstream media and marathi youtube channels, 8 young men from satara mysteriously died at Ambenali Ghat in May
The group of young friends had gone to Dapoli for a holiday in a black scorpio car.
As they reached Ambenali Ghat they were in contact with their family members and told them that they would reach home soon.
However, then after some time, the family members could not contact them at all.
Since the signal is weak in rural areas, the family members thought that they would contact soon.
When there was no reply for several hours, the family members contacted the police.
The police tracked the location of the group members and found that the signal had disappeared at Ambenali ghat.
So the trekkers and hikers groups in the vicinity were called to go down the incline.
First they found the remains of another car, and after some time they found the black scorpio and some bodies.
Other bodies were found even lower down, so they decided to use another route to retrieve the bodies.
Drones were used to locate some of the bodies.
The exact cause of the accident remains a mystery, travelling at night remains risky.
